We are excited about our trip. We will be volunteering in an orphanage. It is an amazing opportunity to take our kids out of the bubble they live in to experience life helping others in another part of the world. We don't know what to expect. The living conditions are less than ideal: intermittent water and electricity, mosquitos, "no see ums", hot, humid weather - all of which will test our tolerance levels. So, stay tuned and hopefully we will be able to post while we're there!
When I was in high school we had the chance to go on missions trips and I went to the DR for 3 years in a row and I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Indiana and Diego and it has been so long since I've seen their faces. I am so happy that I came across your blog, and I am so happy that you also received the chance to meet them.
